The common causes of this damage are deep decay, repeated dental treatments on the tooth, or a crack or chip in the tooth.

Procedure
The area around the tooth is numbed with local anesthesia. A small protective sheet called a "dental dam" is used to isolate the tooth and keep it clean and free of saliva during the procedure. The pulp is removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected before being filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection and will continue to function like any other tooth.
Recovery
After the procedure, you may feel some sensitivity or discomfort, which can typically be managed with over-the-counter pain medications. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth recovery.
